It's Official: The Rams Are Moving Back To LA

As of the 2016 NFL season, the St. Louis Rams are relocating back to their old home of Los Angeles. They first moved to St. Louis after the 1994 season, and spent 20 years there before being forced to move back. There were lots of financial problems for the team in St. Louis, mostly centered around the Edward Jones Dome, which was supposed to be renovated in 2005 order to meet certain qualifications but never was. This caused the team to be fined over $2 million that was paid by the city of St. Louis, who subsequently told them that they could no longer support the team.

The future Los Angeles Rams home games will be played at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum until their new Stadium is completed, which should be in 2019. Although many St. Louis fans are disappointed to lose their team, LA sports fans are generally overjoyed to get their NFL team back after twenty long years of absence.

Does anybody remember the old LA Rams theme song: "Ram It"? If you want to laugh, check it out on Youtube above. It would be hilarious to see the Rams do a re-make of this song now that they are back in LA, but even if they don't we can enjoy this classic tune that's so 80s it hurts. Come to think of it, maybe they should just keep this one in the past.

The LA Rams uniforms, however, were pretty cool and we would love to see the current gold phased out in favor of that old bright yellow. We've found some old photos of the LA Rams in the NFL archives, and included them below for your viewing pleasure:
